Q: Can the Coleman Road Trip grills hook up the propane supply line that comes off of some RVs for a smal RVQ style grill?
A: It certainly won't connect w/o an adapter and hose of some sort, and even then, Coleman used their own connector between regulator and grill, so you can't connect the 11"wc pressure (low pressure) gas there (nor should you try to connect it before the grill's own regulator, where "double regulated" you'll get almost no gas again). By far, the best/safest way to connect this grill is to use the high pressure side of their regulator as if you're connecting a really big disposable canister. That is done by using the 20lb to 1lb adapter hose sold on here for about $20 (I have the Mr. Heater brand because this grill pulls a LOT of gas, and other hoses reportedly don't expect/allow that sort of demand from something that still accepts a 1lb tank). The way WE connect this to the RV is to make sure the RV auto-selector is on the tank we're using for the RV, and then remove the connection from the "spare" LP tank (the one not running the RV itself, disconnected as if we were refilling it) and use that for the grill. We reconnect that tank to RV again when done grilling. If you're not comfortable using both of your LP tanks at once, just carry an extra 20lb tank or an army of 1lb tanks you refill yourself at your leisure...
